We are incredibly proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of six of our Year 12 students – Noor, Holly, Nancy, Maisie, Maddison, and Lily – who recently completed the prestigious Gold Industrial Cadets Award. Over a period of six months, these dedicated students gave up their own time to take part in a challenging and inspiring real-world engineering project, working in partnership with INOVYN and supported by engineer Charlie.
Their project, titled “Improvement to Effluent Pump System,” focused on identifying ways to make industrial processes more efficient and environmentally friendly. The team carried out in-depth research, analysed technical challenges, and even visited Liverpool University to collect experimental data to support their proposals.
Throughout the project, the group developed a wide range of invaluable skills including teamwork, communication, time management, report writing, and presentation delivery. Their work culminated in a professional business pitch, showcasing their findings and recommendations to a panel of industry experts.
Their commitment, creativity, and professionalism have been outstanding, and they are a credit to the school. A huge well done to all involved!
