We are delighted to welcome all prospective students and their parents/carers to Helsby High School on Thursday, 25th September 2025, from 5:30–7:30 pm. Please see further details below.
Our Open Evening is one of the most important events in our school calendar. It provides us with an opportunity to meet prospective students and their families, showcase our school and students, and share the exciting opportunities that await your child at Helsby High School.
Given the overwhelming interest and the large number of attendees expected, we’ve divided the evening into two sessions (Please see the timings below) to ensure all students & their families can enjoy the evening.
The evening will provide you and your child with an opportunity to:
- Meet our students and hear about their experiences.
- Explore our subject departments and meet the staff team.
- Learn more about Helsby High School & meet the Senior Leadership Team.
- Experience the ethos and atmosphere of the school first-hand.
The event will begin with a Headteacher’s Welcome in the Main Hall, supported by some of our students and members of the Senior Leadership Team. After the welcome, our current students will guide parents and prospective students on tours around the school. During these tours, you will have the opportunity to visit all departments and explore the school throughout the evening. Members of the Senior Leaderships Team will be available throughout the evening to answer any questions.
Feedback from our previous evenings has been overwhelmingly positive, with families particularly valuing the chance to speak directly with our students and staff.
