Dear Parent/Carer,
I am sure that all of our students are looking forward to a well-earned Spring break after another very busy 6-week half-term. Please do see our latest newsletter to find out about everything that our students have been engaged in since February …
Helsby High School – Spring Newsletter
Curriculum Support Website Page
Inevitably our Year 11 and 13 students will have their forthcoming summer examinations on their mind over the holiday period. A reminder that Curriculum Support – Helsby High School is a ‘one-stop shop’ containing links to all the information provided by the school to support the learning of students in all years, including the presentation from this week’s Year 11 Information Evening, examination timetables and revision materials.
Spring Break Household Support Fund
Support for students in receipt of Free School Meals (FSM) will once again be provided over the Spring Break, with the Local Authority providing £15 per week per eligible student for the period. Hence a £30 Tesco e-voucher per eligible student will be e-mailed out to parents on Saturday 5th April.
Please note that the school is able to check eligibility for our students’ families and hence do please get in touch us with us (via admin@helsbyhigh.org.uk) if you would like us to check out eligibility for Free School Meals for students and also for Household Support Fund vouchers over school holidays.

Summer Term Uniform
As we look forward to warmer weather after the Spring Break, please note that coats and hooded jumpers are not to be worn inside the school building when we return from the holiday. Blazers should still be worn inside the school building and jumpers continue to be optional. As always, we will review uniform arrangements in the event of any hot weather in the Summer Term.
Please also note that, whilst stocks last, old PE kit will be on sale from the school with a 50% discount for those students who are still required to use it. Items will be available for discounted sale from the start of the Spring Break until the stock is sold.
Morning Access to the School Building
I am sure that parents will understand that we are unable to welcome students into the school building before 8am in the morning. Students who come into school between 8am and 8.30am should go to either the Break-Out Space or Learning Resource Centre rather than go elsewhere in the building.
Best wishes to all our students for the Spring Break. I hope all of our families have a very pleasant and relaxing time with families and friends and we look forward to seeing our students back in school again on Wednesday 23rd April.
Very best wishes,
Martin Hill
Headteacher
