There were celebrations aplenty at Helsby High School this morning as Year 13 students received their A-Level and Vocational Qualification results, with the achievements of the ‘Class of 2025’ richly deserved in another successful year for the school’s vibrant Sixth Form. Parents and staff joined with the students as they reaped the rewards of their efforts over the last two years.
Delighted Director of Sixth Form, Victoria Cross paid tribute to the students, saying: “This year’s Year 13 cohort are a fabulous group of young people who have been an absolute pleasure to work with. Not only have they enriched the school in so many ways, their commitment to their studies has also enabled them flourish in their examinations. As a cohort they have met their challenging academic targets. Their brilliant results mean that they can now move on to their planned next stages of their lives, with 88% securing their first-choice university destination for September, which is well above the national figure. We are so proud of them and really do wish each and every one of them all the very best for the future.”
Once again, the results achieved by Sixth Form Helsby’s students are exceptionally strong, with top A*/A (or equivalent) grades making up over a fifth of all grades. Headteacher Martin Hill commented: “This year’s cohort once again achieved well across all 30+ of the A-Level and Vocational qualifications they studied, and a significant number secured top grades in all of their subjects. The students fully deserve their fantastic success, and we wish them all well as they now move on from our Sixth Form to their chosen university, apprenticeship or employment.”
Amongst the many students celebrating at Helsby this morning were the following, who achieved the very highest possible (A* or equivalent) grade in their studies: Sarah Bailey; Luca Biagetti; Jack Bullock; Ruby Cross; Poppy Eardley; Tom Edwards; Amelia Espley; Oliver Hansen; Liam Jackson; Amelie Jones; Bradley Jones; Darcey Joyce; Jessica Pollitt; Isabelle Shiel and Jacob Thompson.
